Problem saving CSV file

Hi,

I'm having a lot of trouble saving CSV files using Excel 2010.

Basically, I need a CSV file to feed through some specialised software. The software comes with a sample CSV file you can download, to check it's working. If I download this and run it straight through, it works fine. However, if I open the file in Excel, I get an error message (screenshot attached)

The file begins with ID, which I know is a problem (however, it also seems to be required by the software I'm using!). However, deleting this, putting an apostrophe in front, or encasing in quotes etc makes no difference - I still get the same message when I try to save as a CSV and the software will not accept it.

Does anyone have any suggestions please? I'm at my wit's end and am now really behind!
