Allow format only for unlock cells

Hi,

I have a Excel sheet where some cells are locked to avoid modifications and others no.

The thing is that I want to allow users to only format (change color) unlocked cells? If protect with allow formatting cells, I let the locked cells to be formatted also which I dont want.

Any suggestion how I can do that. VBA solutions are also welcome since I'm using also macros in the Workbook

If you Uncheck the Select Locked Cells option, is this not enough?

Hi,

unfortunately is not enough, because the other user may need to select the locked cells to see or copy some contents.
