Excel Error: T prevent possible loss of data, Microsoft Excel cannot shift nonblank cells

I am working on a spreadsheet for quite some time and suddenly it is giving me an error - "To prevent possible loss of data, Microsoft Excel cannot shift nonblank cells off the worksheet" whenever I try to insert a row.

I tried all the possible solutions that I found online such as removing formatting, going to the end of the worksheet to clear the cells, amongst others, but none of them work so far.

Is there any other solution to this error?

    TIA!

    Good morning mathematix

The only time I have seen this error is when there is data (or formats) in the very last row of Excel's sheet (ie 1048576).

You need to recheck and delete the entire row and try again. If you are trying to delete multiple rows, the data may not necessarily be in the very last row.

Hi, thanks! I did try to go to the last row and last column but they are all empty.

I even selected the row after the row where there is a data and did the same thing for columns but it still doesn't resolve the issue

    Hi mathematix

Can you post the workbook. You can probably delete all the data - we don't need to see that, just the basic structure.

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitise the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

For some reason, it is now fixed! LOL

I don't know what I did but the error just disappeared

    Thanks Dominicb
