Checking cells for specific text

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to read about my confusion.

I have cells H217 to H229 with either "pass" or "fail" populated into them and what I want to do is an a separate cell, H330, check H217 to H229 and if they are all "pass" the output is "Pass" however if there is just one fail in H217 to H229 the output would be "fail".

Could anyone please help me with the formula for this as I am completely stuck.

Put this in H330:

This is an array formula so needs to be entered using Ctrl-Shift-Enter not just Enter. You will know the array is active when you see curly brackets { } appear around your formula - don't try to enter them yourself. If you do not Ctrl-Shift-Enter it will only check the last cell (H229). If that happens, just click into the formula bar and do C-S-E again.
