Set the normal format to white, then you only have to colour alternate rows grey. You can use this formula:
=MOD(ROW(),2)=1
and set that to grey background (Fill) for the cells in your range. It will colour odd-numbered rows grey.
Hope this helps.

Hello , When i try to add a new row the conditional formatting is not applied,
For example if the formatting range is A4:K50 , then when a new row is added it becomes A5:K50, the range changes it doesn´t remain fixed. Is there anyway to solve this problem?
If you convert your data range to a Structured Table (Insert/Table), it will automatically add alternate row colors for you. There a a multitude of styles to choose from or you can make your own. (click Table Tools/dropdown)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
