    In F2, =INDEX(B2:B11,MATCH(LARGE(C2:C11,1),C2:C11,0))
    In H2, =INDEX(B2:B11,MATCH(LARGE(C2:C11,2),C2:C11,0))

    Sir thanks for your valuable reply...... i have one more requirement....
    if two students have same marks its displaying only the first students name...(shown in the yellowcoloured cell

    plese resolve it

    I had to use 2 helper columns to do this. They can be hidden.

    In column D the standard rank formula with repeats for ties.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    I laid things out slightly differently.... happy to explain. One helper column (the actual mark achieved) was used.
