Can't create macro for deleting objects

I am trying to use a macro to delete objects on a worksheet imported from a website. The "find/select, go to special, objects, OK" all work fine with a macro. But to delete the objects, one needs to hit "backspace" (I think... that's the keystroke I use to manually delete them) and the macro freezes and won't delete. Any ideas? Do I need to just create a macro to do the first steps and hit "backspace" after the macro finishes?
