    averaging information??

I don't even know where to start completely or what question to ask, but here goes.

I have a spread sheet with multiple (3) drop down lists. We use this for scheduling. The options represent the people being scheduled. The idea is to take the total available hours scheduled for a job and spread it evenly between the options chosen in the dropdown lists.

Here is where I am getting stuck. I added two additional options (M1, M2) and changed one (NB). When I use any of the options that were there before, the system works as it should. When I use one of the new options and two of the old ones, the time will only divide between two people only after a third option has been selected, and all three will receive the same time.

If all three of the new options are selected, there is no division.

Help, I'm lost on how to fix this.
