Conditional formatting on a second sheet, based on two cells

I need help with conditional formatting:
I have two sheets and I need the formatting to take place on the second sheet ("Floor"). Here's the problem. I need the formatting to be the same as in column C (Oddelek) but the formatting may only occur if there is a value entered in column "E" of the first sheet ("Pupils"). The formatting must apply to a cell with the corresponding value. For example: If I enter a value 287 in column E, the formatting should be the same as in column C (blue), but in the cell with the value "287" on the "Floor" sheet.

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

What is the rule that maps C15 on FLOOR to C11 on Pupils? You have hundreds of rows in Pupils column C but only 36 rows of data in FLOOR column C.

The solution is going to be to use the same set of conditional formatting rules that you already have for column C in FLOOR and copy those rules for column C of Pupils. But without the answer to my question above I don't know exactly how to write the rule. Something like:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

for 6.a but I don't know which cell on FLOOR this would apply to.
