Advanced Mileage Reimbursement Form with Location Tracking

    Hello,

I've recently switched jobs and have been tasked with creating a mileage reimbursement form for my new department. I can easily create a simple form with an area for odometer readings and force people to provide a Google Map print out to prove the distance, but that method is a huge pain to make people do weekly. At my previous job, they had a fantastic mileage reimbursement form that allowed selection through a drop down of all 20+ locations for a starting point and an end point location. Once the starting point and end point location were selected, the form would automatically populate a distance between those locations and subsequently provide a reimbursement. The form was locked so that people couldn't change the mileage and as such, no one had to ever provide a Google Map print out to payroll. It was as simple as filling out a date, start point, end point, saving and emailing it to payroll.

I'd like to create a form similar to that for my current department but am clueless on how to do that. Would anyone be able to provide assistance with this? I'm not sure if this is posted in the correct forum so I apologize in advance if that is the case.

    Thank you.
    -Steven

    .
If you can use ZIP codes for the FROM / TO this code will do that for you :

There are two formulas to be used in two different cells .. one for the mileage and one for the time travelled.

NOTE: because the FORUM servers don't allow for HTML tags in posts, there are areas within the code that describe the "greater than" and "less than" symbols. Ex: (greater than symbol here)
You will need to remove the description and replace them with the actual symbol.
