    Autostart and open a file

I can get Windows 10 to autostart Excel by placing a shortcut to Excel in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp. But I want it to autostart and automatically open a specific file. I don't want Excel to automatically open that specific file when I manually start Excel, but only when it autostarts. Any suggestions?

    .
This is a generic method. Should work well with Excel :

Re: Autostart and open a file

Thanks Logit. The generic method worked -- almost. When I attempted to paste the excel file into the startup folder, I got a message saying "Windows can't create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?" I clicked the Yes button and then dragged the resulting shortcut from the desktop into the Startup folder.

It works. But the Excel file comes up before one of the programs in my Startup folder. I want the Excel file to come up last so that it will not be covered up by the program that starts after it. I can't find a way to designate the order in which the programs and files in my startup folder are to open. Is that it possible to do that?
