Count against and colour code

Good Morning all,

Wondering if there is a formula to count numbers in a cell against a total and colour code the cell accordingly?

I have multiple incoming deliveries (VPOs) for product that our sales team has sold to our customer base, i am trying to identify where the orders would be best filled from based on the order start dates.

Please see the sample sheet attached:

Based on this sheet,
Bob's 10 units and Jeff's 15 units would be coloured green as they are from units in stock.
Jamie's 50 units and Frank's 50 units would be coloured yellow as they could be filled by Del 1.
Harry's 75 units would be coloured orange as they need to wait for the Del 2 to fill the complete order.

Is this even possible or am i dreaming yet again?

Thanks in advance for any help and time spent on this.
Ian

Re: Count against and colour code

How do you determine "this and that can come from there"?

Perhaps if you walk us through this manually, we can offer better help?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Count against and colour code

Hi

I suppose you want CF using the information in F2:F4. I do not know if you want use other information such as E2:E3

Try use the following formulas in Condition Formatting
First all cells must be fill in Yellow

for Gold use =$F8>=$F$3

For green use =$F8<=$F$4

You can apply CF to $B$8:$F$12 or only to $F$8:$F$12

See the file
