Data Validation without Drop-down list

Hi All,

Hope you all doing well.
My question is " How to make data validation depending without dropdown list"
I want to choose Item Description from dropdown list and for next column relevant code to appear automatically.
For example:
I have a table with 2 columns
Column A - Item Description
Column B - relevant codes

Item Description CODE
Table C003

I did something similar with indirect function but it creates drop down list which I want to avoid.
