slicer report connection

hello
i had a dash board which contain
1- profit
2- number of reports
i had slicer of month (jan/feb....etc) to filter profit and number of reports
now i had made new pivot table which contain numbers of samples test each month
the problem that i want to connect earlier slicer with the pivot table but when click on report connection i cant see my new pivot table (samples)
any help

Slicers will only see pivot tables with the same data source. You'll need to update the data source on the original pivot table in order to link the slicer to both tables.

so the only solution is making pivot table again and then link the slicer to it
i hope there is easier solution

I'm assuming you added a column to the original data you made the first pivot table with and now including that column you have a second pivot table. If that's right, then you just
click anywhere in the first pivot table, go to the Analyze tab, and change the data source to include the new column. You wouldn't need to change the output of either pivot table.
