Unfortunately you have STILL not told us WHERE it is cross-posted. I am not going to spend time trying to help you in case you already have an answer elsewhere. That is why you HAVE to declare your cross-posts

    Dear Glenn,
It was cross posted in Mr.Excel forum, There I got the answer to write a code in power query, but my excel version is not supporting this, hence I posted the same here.

Re: Totaling of different currencies in a column separately

    And what is the URL?

Are the currency symbols in the same cell as the numbers?

Can I put them in a different cell?

Are they typed in, or present as a result of conditional formatting.

    please address all FOUR questions.

Re: Totaling of different currencies in a column separately

IF they are all typed in one cell, for one currency, there is NO space between the symbol and the number. Was that intentional?

Re: Totaling of different currencies in a column separately

I had assumed that they were in the same cell!! How does this array formula look:

    =SUMPRODUCT(--TRIM(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(IF(LEFT($A$1:$A$24,LEN(C1))=C1,$A$1:$A$24,0),C1,"")," ",REPT(" ",10)),10)))

Array Formulae are a little different from ordinary formulae in that they MUST be confirmed in the FIRST CELL ONLY by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. After that, the array can be dragged down as normal, to cover the desired range.

You will know the array is active when you see curly brackets { } - or "curly braces" for those of you in the USA, or "flower brackets" for those of you in India - appear around the outside of your formula. If you do not use CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will (almost always) get an error message or an incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

Don't type the curly brackets yourself - it won't work...

I will get you a 2 column alternative in a second.

Re: Totaling of different currencies in a column separately

... or a shorter array formula:

    =SUMPRODUCT(--TRIM(IF(LEFT($A$1:$A$24,LEN(C1))=C1,MID($A$1:$A$24,LEN(C1)+1,255),0)))
