    mm:ss displayes as hh:mm:ss

    Hi,
i have a log withe time records in minutes and seconds.
    log format is .csv
    example entries:

    12:33 (12 minutes 33 seconds)
    05:46
    22:24

when i open this log in excel, the time cells are showed as hh:mm:ss, for example 12:33 is shown as 12:33:00
how do i make excel take this data as mm:ss ?
    thanks

you need to import the data into a blank worksheet - rather than ope the CSV file
excel does not use the Import Data wizard with CSV files
if you import into a blank sheet and then use the , as the delimiter - you should be able to format the Time column during the import to use MM:SS
