Help with Formula No Longer Working After Excel Crash

My Excel crashed, and a forumla that I swear up and down was working fine on every other version of this report I have ever run, no longer is.

I have a formula that I use to conditional format, so that I can then sort (first by the new conditional formatted color, then by data in a 7th field).

    The formula is =AND(AND(AND($C2="",$D2=""),AND($E2="",$F2="")), AND($G2="",$H2=""))

I have Columns C thru H. If *all* of them are blank, I would like it to format to a color of my choice.

I have been bashing my head against this for hours, I have tried LEN functions, and Variations of the AND function. The solution is probably simple, but due to frustration/etc, I am incapable of finding it currently. This is so simple. Please help me.

    Re: Help

I think a simpler way would be to use this as your CF formula:

    =$C2&$D2&$E2&$F2&$G2&$H2=""

    Hope this helps.

    Glad to help.

If that takes care of your original question, please take a moment to select Thread Tools from the menu above and to the right of your first post in this thread, and mark this thread as SOLVED.

Also, since you are relatively new to the forum, you might like to know that you can directly thank those who have helped you by clicking on the small "star" icon located in the lower left corner of a post that you have found to be helpful (not just in this thread - for any post that has helped you). This also adds to the reputation of the poster (the small green bars in the poster's profile).
