Excel file size - CTRL END

    Good afternoon,

My excel file size went from just 1 mb to, out of the blue, 5mb.
I found the problem which is that in one of the sheets the last cell is the last row of Excel, so 1048576
Normally I can solve it just by deleting the seemingly empty rows beneath my data but now somehow nothing solves it.

I tried deleting the seemingly empty rows, empty columns.
I tried doing it with the clear all function. Nothing works.

    any ideas?

Maybe copy the used cells to new sheet. Delete the old sheet, then rename the new sheet.

Styles and formats can screw up the used range.

Select the unused columns, Clear > Clear All, Delete > Delete Sheet Columns

Select the unused rows, Clear > Clear All, Delete > Delete Sheet Rows

    Save, close, and reopen.
