Pasting single digit numbers in a separate cells

Hi all,

Have a little problem. I need to copy & paste some numbers from pdf to excel. In each line there are either 2 digit or 1 digit number.
2 digit numbers are pasting ok - each number in separate line, however 1 digit numbers are put in the same cell.

Please look at the attachments.

Is there any way to go about it?

I am unable to reproduce your problem... 99 times out of 100.... I ask for an excel sheet. this time.... can you post a sample pdf?


Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

I have Acrobat pro... so I can easily save it as an .xlsx...

if I don't do that.. it is messy.. It pastes everything into one column.

1. Invest in Acrobat Pro.

2. Do one column at a time.

3. Repost in VBA forum.

I was able to reproduce domasau's problem while attempting to copy / paste text just a single column. I chose the "Dep Rooms" column.

See the attached images.
- The 1, 7, 5 in rows 1 to 3 were consolidated to 175 in XL
- the 6 and 9 in rows 6 to 7 were consolidated to 69 in XL
- The 7 in row 10 was imported correctly
