    Annotating worksheet, workbook

I found out I was cross-posting because I put my question in another Excel forum. It has the title, "Annotating worksheet, workbook". It is at excel guru.ca in the forums
    showthread.php?9535-Annotation-or-text-page&p=39147

Having problems figuring out what to put in here since I can't put in a link.

    Sorry!

Mod Note : OP struggling to add cross-post link

    .
Nothing stopping you from doing that. Lots of folks do the same.

Also, consider placing your comments inside your code. Preface each line containing an explanation with a single quote ( ' ) so the line of text will be
a comment instead of a line of code.

Rule 03: Cross-posting Without Telling Us

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without telling us about your threads on other forums.

Post a link to any other forums where you have asked the same question. If you have fewer than 10 posts here, you will not be able to post a link, but you must still tell us where else you have asked the question.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

If you have less than 10 posts, do not try to copy and paste the link. Instead, type the link out in your thread.

No further help to be offered, please, until the OP has complied with this request.
Please familiarise yourself with the rules before posting. You can find them here.

    Unhappy Re: Annotating worksheet, workbook

dominicB I don't understand what I posted was wrong in trying to explain and apologize for cross-posting.

You said "If you have less than 10 posts, do not try to copy and paste the link. Instead, type the link out in your thread."

I thought I did that when I explained "I found out I was cross-posting because I put my question in another Excel forum. It has the title, "Annotating worksheet, workbook". It is at excel guru.ca in the forums
    showthread.php?9535-Annotation-or-text-page&p=39147

Having problems figuring out what to put in here since I can't put in a link.

    Sorry!
    "

Please help me know what I did wrong in that post. I typed the name of the website with the url and then the link for where I put the cross-posted post.

I'm sorry if this is still not good enough. I don't know what else to do. I posted another question in this forum today and I see there were 31 people who looked at it without 1 reply. Am I still getting punished for the cross-posting?

You also wrote at the end of your message "No further help to be offered, please, until the OP has complied with this request."
I understand why you don't want cross-posting. I don't understand why you would write the above comment that was bold and in red. Is nobody allowed to help me because I made 1 mistake?
