Excel 2010 Slicer to add Days

Hello,

I use Excel 2010 at work and need to know how to get the Slicer to pull Days.
I have opened Slicer but it only shows Months but not Days.added, so I can
How can I have Days added to the worksheet, so I can use it to choose the Days I require?

Slicers can only reflect values that are actually in the underlying data so if you have a column formatted as months (or have month-like numbers or names) it can only show months.
you may have to create an extra column to extract a day from the date so you can make a day slicer
