Sorting production plan in to schedule my category

Hi,

I have spread sheet in which I have a production plan. That production plan drives a release schedule (time line/gantt) which needs to sort by category and dynamically expands and contracts with new entries in the production plan.

HELP!
Really appreciate anything that can point me in any direction in terms of function to use.

Hi Bjourne,

See the attached where I've done some work on your file.
1. The dates must be real dates and not text
2. You can't have any blank dates in the table
3. I created a Dynamic Named Range for your data. Look at the Formulas Tab and Names Manager (search for DNR on the net)
4. Created a Pivot Table using the DNR as the data source - I think this is what you want
5. You will need to refresh the Pivot after adding or changing data in the table.
