Currency Spacing between numbers above 100?

Please help me!

I am not sure if this has been asked before as I do not see a specific thread to this question.
My company upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and now I have this problem.

Currency used to be displayed in Excel as (South African Rand):

R 200 000.00

Now it is displayed as:

R200000.00

What happened to the spaces and how to I get that back? I have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find a way to change this. I really need it displayed as: R 200 000.00 format.

Since you got a new PC most likely the regional settings of your windows are different then you are used too of the old PC.

You can use a local preset or change that preset to fit your needs on how to present local settings


On top of that you can also change it in Excel itself

But I think you want to check your regional settings on your PC first because you have a new pc and avoid you have to change it on every spreadheet you start.

Thanks, I had to change the currency setting to actually have a space after the R, so in currency settings where you have the currency symbol I added a space after it. This seems to work but does not feel like the right way to have done this.

I did change my location but that did not work.
Also had to change the "," to a space.

Thank you, but this was not successful. it added commas into the numbers and I needed spaces.
