Quick custom formatting - template like

    Hello ppl,

Need help about excel possibility in general. I have excel report generated by Odoo ERP and I want to make PIVOT analisys on it, but it is not formated well. It's a large scale document with all possible data and every month gets bigger.
Is it possible to make a excel template file that can make quick large scale formatting every time I make new export.
There are two kind of formatting:
    - one is just cell type formatting and text to columns thing
    - other would be adding sheets with lists that will be used for VLOOKUP and adding new categories to original sheet.

Can it be done by templating or is it maybe easier to make complete new table that will cross-link every data from that ERP exported file ??

    Thank you!
    BR,
    Davor

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

With a lot of these things the approach adopted may not be the most efficient so it helps if you can explain what you are trying to achieve. I don't mean explain what your current system is doing, I mean tell us what information you start with and what you want to end up with and the rules and logic you use to get there.

    Hi Paul,
You are right...it's hard to visualize other ppl thoughts.
Here is an example of a original report just converted to table.
    Capture1.PNG

And here is what it should look like:
    Capture2.PNG

Red are new columns and what should be corrected.

It's not hard to do it once, but problem is that every time i need to refresh data (collect new) I need to do it again. So some kind of template formatting would be great if possible, and if not then cross-linking is other option I guess?

Upload a sample, not some pictures. I assume that it can be done via VBA at least.
