Cannot Find External Links in Workbook

Hi,

My excel says that I have linked workbooks and asks me to update them (the 'Inquire' addiin workbook relationship also lists 4 related workbooks) . I cannot find out how they are related and hence cannot remove them from being linked.
Please help and note I have already tried the following to identify the link but to no avail:
1) I deleted all worksheets in my workbook so now i have only one blank 'Sheet 1'.. still not solved
2) I deleted all things listed in Name Manager...still not solved
3) Nothing in conditional formatting/data validation...still not solved
4) Charts /shapes...everything deleted so none....still not solved
How can it still be showing as linked? where are these links and how to remove? Please see output of Inquire workbook analysis showing 6 linked workbooks with nothing else there:

Go to the Data menu, and check the Queries & Connections section. If Edit Links is clickable, check that for the linked workbooks. If not, check the Queries & Connections button to see if it lists anything.

Checked there are no Queries and Connections. The edit links is now not clickable because I have deleted all the worksheets (it was clickable before but only shows 2 external workbooks (not the other 6 which inquire finds - which I knew I had links to).

I have used the findlink add-in and it has found the links in hidden names objects, however these are not in any worksheet (as i only have one blank worksheet).
The findlink can find and remove theses, however I want to remove it manually and cannot find these hidden links on my own - is there any way in excel?

I believe you would have to unhide the names using VBA, and then you could access them in the Name Manager. Something like this might work (please note, this is untested):

You can access the VB Editor with alt+F11. Put this in ThisWorkbook, place your cursor in the sub, and hit F5. In theory, this will unhide all defined names, and allow you to delete them from the Name Manager.
