Conditional Formatting

I have this question in a mock exam paper:

"use conditional formatting to colour cell F27 green if it equals cell C9 or red if not"

I know how to do basic conditional formatting but not sure how when there is an either or argument.
Can anyone help please?

Re: Conditional Formatting

What have you tried, so far?

We wont do your homework for you, but we will assist in guiding you.

1 think to note is that CF only works on TRUE (1) or FALSE (0) returns, so you would need to structure a formula that would give TRUE based on those arguments.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

It appears that way, hence my instruction.

Re: Conditional Formatting

This is not my homework, it is one of many revision papers for an exam that they give us to practice with.

I have tried going through the conditional formatting tab and the various options under there and can only make the green colour work when the two cells equal the same but if I change the number so it doesn't equal the same I can't seem to find an option to make the cell red.

I have also gone back to my study books but can't find anywhere it tells you how to deal with the two instructions, only one.

Re: Conditional Formatting

I don't think that it will be too large a hint to say that the question doesn't state that you are limited to using one rule, only that you are to use conditional formatting.
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.
