Question Link to OneDrive file in Power Query using 'Get data' from Web

    Hi dear Excel specialists,

I would like to query a shared file on my collegues OneDrive. I tried the procedure as described in: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/pow...business-links, but the result is an 'Unable to connect' and 'Access to the resource is forbidden' message.

What am I doing wrong? How can I connect to a shared file in OneDrive for Business?

Thanks in advance for all/any suggestions. Ron

Is the folder in question shared? What is the path to the resource in question? Is there not a shared site in your Sharepoint set-up that you can use for this? Did you enter your colleague's credentials? If so, I'm not sure you should actually know them!

    Hi Ali,

I am trying this at first from my own OneDrive (no sharing needed but bot working; the described error message appears).
The OneDrive folder from my collegue is shared and I have Read access.

When I do this with my own OneDrive, I just browse to the file. I don't use a web address. Have you tried that?

    Hi Ali,

When I browse to the local file on my synchronized OneDrive, I have no problems; that works fine.
However, I can't browse the files that have been shared with me by my colleague; the do not appear when I browse the file system through Explorer.

When I use the share link, I get the same error message, 'Unable to connect', 'Access to the resource is forbidden'.
