    Conditional formating text color issue.

Ok, so I thought I fixed this but my fix cause other problems so back at it.

I have an issue with a very large workbook I created where I made text white and then used conditional formatting to turn it black. I sometimes also put fill color, or outlining as part of the conditional formatting.

Problem is, just recently, the white text would not stay the black color the conditional formatting is telling it to change to. the fill color and outlining do stay and seem to work ok, its just the text color.

I have attached a sample worksheet. in making the sample I have found that if I make the conditional formatting to be bold font then it seems to stick, bug not regular font.

It is set to auto calc, and while pushing "calculate sheet' fixes it temporarily, pushing 'calculate workbook' cause it to turn white again.

I cannot find what is causing the text to revert back to white, rather than follow the conditional formatting.

Please see the attached sample, and select option 1. This is when the conditional formatting kicks in, but for me it is messing up. also it is not working on other computers.

    Please help!

Re: PLease Help! Conditional formating text color issue.

    works for me ,
what do you do to make the text disappear ?

its only "Test2" that appears to be changed to bold by the conditional format

i also only have "option 1" available in the drop down box, that changes G8 from a 1 to a 2
and then the conditional formatting kicks in

Re: PLease Help! Conditional formating text color issue.

thanks for testing. ok so when selecting option 1, in test 1 and test 3, the text is not turning black for a second but then turning to white again automatically? that's what it does for me, it wont stay black. the middle one whish is the only bold one turn black and stays black but not the other 2. I wish to find what is causing this to happen on mine. Thanks Again

thank you. no it still does it. so weird. I may have to go through the entire workbook and make it all to be bold as part of the conditional formatting, which is a lot of work... I feel like there must be something else going on then. some type of setting.

just found that if I set the color to automatic in the conditional formatting, rather than setting it to black, it will then stay black whether it is bold or regular. don't know why it is like this but that seems to be working
