    Overdue calculation

    Hi ,

I have overdue sheet , which shows the customers overdue in column A and I want this amount to reflect in B column.

For example B5:G5 shows positive and negative values in each month and remaining outstanding amount in A5 . I want this A5 value to show only in

B5 column and the remaining values should be zero in the other months .

    Any formula can suggest anyone.

Why not just copy column A and paste it to column B as values, then delete all the cells in C5:G72?

Well rather trivially, and stating the obvious you could put Excel into Manual operation and use =A5 in B5, and =0 in every othet cell.

What you can't do is have a formula in column B which refers to column A, and have formulae in column A which refers to column B. Or to be strictly accurate you can but you'll create what are known as circular references and they should generally be avoided.

Your only other option is a macro to do what I suggested earlier but which you seem reluctant to do manually. And in truth it's quicker to do the task manually than write a macro.
