As the title says. I've shared an excel file with another person but whenever that other person is editing the file I'm locked out and vice versa. I've used this sharing feature before but I never had this issue, I don't know why it suddenly happened. Any idea how I can fix this?
additional info:
I've done some testing on different files. So a standard .xls file will allow co-authoring in excel online but not in local excel (which is the goal here). An excel document WITH vba macro's that is both saved as .xls and .xlm (2 copies) won't work for either excel online or local excel. I'm not able to pinpoint the issue here. Ideally I want a macro enabled file to be shared for co-authoring in local excel. Not to add new macro's in because that's not supported but I programmed a small search function with vba before the file was shared and no new code shall be added after sharing and this is supposed to be supported.
The file is located in onedrive.
PS: I've made a post about this on r/excel also because I need a solution very urgently.
