    Issued & Returned - Identify Total Not Returned

    Hi,

    Please see attached Worksheet - I would like a way of showing outstanding inspections on units that have been issued, every month I would be updating the two TABS giving me monthly outstanding inspections to do (this is a sample of Regions & Units - In total there are 80+ Regions and 10,000 units)

    What exactly does "dropped here" mean? Do you mean these data are manually entered? Is it the four column sheet you wish to produce? If so, you can probably use PowerQuery for this, as you have Office 365.

    This would copied out of a DataBase (Microsft Access) and pasted into the sheets,

    So why aren't you calculating the non-returned items via the database? You should be able to run a report.

    Hi,

    My knowledge and experience in both Excel and Access is very limited more than happy to try and do it in Access always up for a challenge, do you think an Access route would be easier?

    Well, if it's Access, then you can create a bespoke report based on filtered tables. It's many years since I dabbled in Access, but I'd be inclined to keep it all under one roof, so to speak.
