Password locked excel file not prompt for password while try to opening

    Hello

I tried to open password locked excel file(s) in internet browsing centers. Excel software is opened but excel file(s) is not opened.

I googled to find the issue and someone written to check / change the Trust Center Settings. I tried my level best but still i could not able to open the files or ro know what settings need to be updated.

    Any suggestions / solitions

    Thanks in advance

What do you mean by "password locked excel file(s) in internet browsing centers"? Are these your files or someone else's? Please clarify.

Also, if the files are password protected, do you have the password?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Re: Password locked excel file not prompt for password while try to opening

These files are mine. I know the passwords, i have uploaded these files to my mail id and when required i will download in browsing centers. But in browsing centers while try to open a password locked file, excel is opening but not asking password. So i could not able to open these files even it is my file and i know the passwords.

    Hope i have answered.

I'd say this is down to security settings at the browsing centre and is more than likely nothing you will be able to change.

Have you asked the staff there?
