[Gant Chart] Displaying Multiple Work Dates on a single line

    Hello,

I've challenged myself to try to make a Gant Chart that displays multiple activities on different dates on a single line in Excel,

    Example :

Production Start & End - Green Color
    Client Feedback - Yellow
    Rework - Orange

I could use your help by updating a formula that I use for normal Gant Charts, "=IF(AND(G$6>=$E9,G$6<=$F9),"X","")" where it puts an "x" on the dates that the tasks are scheduled, adapting it ( from my point of view ) would mean to look at the 6 dates from the attached file and :

    - Add a "x" for Production Date
    - Add a "y" for Client Feedback Date
    - Add a "z" for Rework Date

After that I can use conditional format to change the text to simple colors.

Attached you have an example with the colors under the dates.

    Any ideas ?

    Welcome to the forum.

The dates you have in A7:F7 don't match the colours you have in G7:AO7, but I assume that's just a left-over from some old data.

If you only have the three time periods, the simplest way to do this is just to use a nested IF formula, like this (in G7, then drag across/down):
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Edit: I've added red text to make it easier to pick out which parts of the formula refer to the production/feedback/rework columns.

As you say, you can then use CF based on the x/y/z to colour the cells from col G to EG.

I recently started a new job so am a bit busy and may not reply quickly. Sorry - it's not personal - I will reply eventually.
If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.

    Glad I could help.

As you've only just joined, you may not know that you can mark the thread as Solved if your original question has been taken care of so others know there's an answer here. Instructions to do it are in my sig - if you could take a moment to do it, that would be appreciated. Thanks.
