Interrogate tabular data - Excel or Access?

Good afternoon all

I have been looking through internet help to try and find an easy (ish) way to summarise my golf data.

I am not sure if Access or Excel would be better format?.

Basically i want to know some stats based on the data, such as best played holes / worst played hole etc..

As the courses have differing holes to par it is difficult for me to understand how best to achieve this?!.

Any advice welcomed.

Excel would be good for analysis of data. Access is better, if you want to build a more robust model with multiple user inputting data (but, you'd still use Excel for reporting on data).

However, in both cases, it's recommended that data structure be flattened out.

Ex: Date; Course; Hole; Par; Score as header, all data added to row.

If you need further help, I'd recommend uploading sample workbook. And mockup of result that you are after.

My opinion is to reinforce the opinion that @CK76 expressed in the previous post.

I do not see any need to use Access and Excel provides a wider range of aggregation and statistics functions.
