Selecting an Adjacent Range using the Keyboard

    Hi,

I have data in A2:A1000 and would like to put a formula in cell B2 and then copy it down from B3 to B1000.

Is there a shortcut key sequence that I can use to select the range in B3:B1000 in one step rather than using things like Shift+PgDn?

    Thanks!

Once you put the formula in cell B2, and cell B2 is selected, double click on the little box in the bottom right corner of the cell. This will instantly fill the formula down the column.

    Thank you.

If I just wanted to select the range B2:B1000 is there a keystroke sequence to achieve this (without using the mouse)? The range selected would be the same length (i.e. number of rows) as the adjacent filled cells, A2:A1000.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the rep!

I'm not sure why you would want to select cells with nothing in them.

One way, with B2 selected, would be to hit Ctrl + Shift + End.

This would select A2:B1000. Then Shift + Right Arrow to move the selection to B2:B1000.
