    vlookup with sumif

    I'm trying to find a formula that will find employee by wccode and sum values

    The formula for A22 & B22 is an array formula
    ...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.

    Why not utilise the Pivot Table capability - it gives you flexibility and you should be able to summarise the information anyway you want.
