Exclamation Filter view for symbols (Blue Print Designs)

I am making blue prints for a desk (drawn out with shaded cells). I have marked where I drill screws in which direction with arrow symbols. I attached a part of my project with 2 sheets: with screws and without. Is there anyway to filter the viewing of the screws so they are not there all the time?

Also, I'm new here but not new to Excel!

Re: Help Needed: Filter view for symbols (Blue Print Designs)

Name a cell SHOWSCREWS and enter TRUE into it.

Wrap all your screw cells with a formula, changing the arrow to the appropriate one for each cell.

    =IF(SHOWSCREWS,"↓","")

Changing the contents of SHOWSCREWS cell will remove screws

I've put conditional formatting to appear or disappear screws based on Cell A1.

If you type any text in Cell A1 Screws will appear and if delete text from Cell A1 Screws will disappear

    Hope this will help you?

Thanks for the suggestion! After a few tries it worked. I used your method to label part names (A,B,C, etc) and in tandem with the other reply to this thread. Thank you so much!
