Question Conditional formatting for running total

    Hi guys,

I need a bit of help with conditional formatting.

I would like to format the YTD cell based on the cumulative monthly values. In the attached file, T8 will go red if at the end of the year the value will be < than T18 and green if it will be >=. What I also want to do is to format T8 based on the cumulative total. Say G8 >= 11077, I would like the YTD to go green, otherwise, to go red.

Once I have the results in Feb, if T8 >= sum(G18:H18), to go green, alternatively, to go red. And so on.

    Appreciate any help.

Re: Conditional formatting for running total

If you replace the =t18 in the conditional format formula with

    Formula: copy to clipboard

then it will compare the entered period actuals with the budget.
the countA counts how many cells on row 8 have a value. that value defines the width of the sumrange starting at G18.
so verytime you add a new month of actuals on row 8 it will compare the total of T8 to the amount of months passed.
