    Thermometer Chart Question

I am having a major problem trying to create a thermometer chart. I am looking to create a guage that shows if the actual reserves meet the minimum needed. Any advice is greatly appreciated because I've been racking my brains out for hours.

    Re: Thermometer Chart Question

One way would be to use column chart with 2 series. Move 1 series to the secondary axis.
This will allow you to alter the column thickness.

Remove secondary vertical scale to ensure all data uses the same scale.

What do you want it to look like?

    Re: Thermometer Chart Question

So you need 4 separate thermometer chart?

    May be something like below?

Though personally I prefer bullet chart to thermometer.

See attached. It uses single axis with Series overlap set to 100%.

    Re: Thermometer Chart Question

Thank you all for the responses. Attached is what I meant by a thermometer chart. It's the chart used in Michael Grohhs dashboard and I wanted to basically have it land on green if I stay at 100% or above of the minimum and go to red if it goes below 100%. Sorry for the confusion. I'm just very confused on how to do this. I tried editing the data series on all portions and nothing has worked whatsoever.

    Re: Thermometer Chart Question

    Oh, you mean gauge chart.

I'm not a fan of these type of chart, it's not at all conducive to visualizing data. My preference here is bullet chart.

    Have a read of...

You can read about how to create gauge/speedometer chart in link below.

Wow... that's actually much better than a gauge chart... I hate that it won't let me add to your reputation again today! Thank you so much!!!
