    Welcome to the Forum raytexcel!

Do you just want a single number as your result?

Can you explain how your data is set up--do you have multiple parts on the same row?

    Where do you record quantities?

Please attach a file(s) with your sample data. The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

Although I am not a moderator I feel safe in saying that is a screen shot, a "file" would be the .xlsx from which the screen shot was taken.

No. You have attached a screen shot image of your file. You need to attach the actual Excel file. Re-read my instructions and make sure you select the Excel file for upload.

Re: Using old and new stock lists, determine stock used

I am guessing that the part numbers come from column G, the date of correction (if there is a difference in number between columns C and I) is 7.7.19, "Add" means there are more parts in 2019 than there were in 2017 and "Remove" means that there are fewer parts in 2019 than in 2017.
    If so:
    1. Populate column L using: =IF(G4<>"",G4,"")
    2. Populate column M using: =IF(OR(N4<>"",O4<>""),DATE(2019,7,7),"")
    3. Populate column N using: =IF(L4="","",IF(C4<I4,I4-C4,""))
    4. Populate column O using: IF(L4="","",IF(I4<C4,C4-I4,""))
If this isn't what you want please give examples of what you want along with explanations of the reasoning that goes along with the examples.
