    Scheduling in Excel

    Hello all,

I want to schedule dates automatically for installation of item 1 and item 2.

Installation dates of item 1 will be based on the selection of batch (1,2,3, etc) and start date of 01 Jan 2019; Also installation dates of item 1 drives dates of the installation of item 2. (Item 1 and 2 will be installed on well A, B, C, D, E & F)

I have shown through an example (in the attached sheet) the dates for the installation of item 1 (with a batch size of "2") for reference.

But I want to update dates in the blank table in my sheet using the highlighted yellow cell where I will punch batch size of item 1 viz. 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6) and requirement is that installation dates should be automatically update based on the batch size for both item 1 and 2 for Well A, B, C, D, E&F.

    Please help!

Installation durations are in the attached sheet

    (Sheet attached again)

First of all, I don't understand at all your explanation. You should've added some examples, not an explanation of an example. Secondly, please do not send me private messages to let me know that you've uploaded something

    Re: Scheduling in Excel

Paul in separate tab "Example" I have given the example.

It is the case for installation of item 1 in a batch of 2 and accordingly dates are coming.

I need help to automatically update the dates based on the input provided in column B (Batch size)..(Batch size could be 1-6).

    Re: Scheduling in Excel

As I said before, you provided a explanation of example, and not actual examples. You said that you needed the dates, that should be reflected in example sheet, the dates needed based on batch size

Exactly if i define the batch size as 6 then all well have 6 in front of well name (means on item will be installed in one go)

    Re: Scheduling in Excel

Also the dates would be updated accordingly (installation duration for item 1 is 1 days) and activity will be sequential on well.

Item 1 dates will drive the item 2 installation also.

In case i have selected 6 in column B means all item will be installed in one go (but one by one) and installation of item 2 will only start after the finish of installation of item 1 on well F. (but there are lot of combinations for which i need automated function)

    Please help.
