    Text Within Table Cells - How?

    Hi all!

    I'm struggling with a problem long time ago. we have many printed sheets with a table on it, and we use to fill it with hand.
    it's getting tiring, so i'd like to make a table for it in excel, so after that, we only have to type it, and print it on the printed sheets.
    i could not make it work to have the text inside the cells. Any tutorial on that?

    Your query makes no sense to me. What issues are you having with text in cells? Can you attach a workbook showing the problem?

    So we have this form, and i'd like to make it possible to fill in this with excel.
    So we just quickly type in the data, and print it onto this form.

    They are preprinted sheets.
    I started it like:

    But the margins and sizes freaking me out.
    But it's more complicated than this. That's why i'm interested in a tutorial video or something.

    It seems to me that you're wanting to

    1. Record various bits of information about something like a Customer Order, Invoice etc, e.g. Date, item reference, item description, price, quantity, cost...etc..
    2. From that data populate the from you showed in your attachment.

    Wold you confirm that's the case?

    If so please upload the form you're currently using - presumably it's already either in an Excel sheet or perhaps a Word document.
    Along with the form, for every piece of information (i.e. 'box' on the form) indicate whether its' something that you add manually or whether it's information that can be derived from some pre-defined list of information. For instance you might manually add a product code, and the description could be filled in by a formula which uses the code and looks the description up from a table of code descriptions somewhere else.

    Yes, exactly.

    We get the sheets from a printing office. I have no permission to give out any specific info about this sheet. I'd like to make the fill in easier for myself.
    I have tried scanning it, setting as a background in excel, and matching the lines. but it didn't work out so well.

    I'm not sure that is a 'Yes Exactly'.


    I was seeking to find out whether you manually enter some stuff into an Excel worksheet from which you then want to fill in a template form held in the workbook with some of the form being taken from the data you've manually added and other parts of the form containing information that has been calculated.

    When you say you 'get sheets' from a printing office' do you mean you get sheets of paper or is the stuff you get from the office an Excel workbook sheet?
    It sounds like you may just have a picture of the form rather than anything you can manipulate electronically

    Either way it's doubtful we can help you much unless you can share the printing office file/document with us. Anonymise it if necessary, we don't need sensitive data.

    Yes, it's a paper sheet, as it can be seen from the first attachment, and i mentioned that i have scanned it. the attachment i have sent is a true A/4 format.
    And yes, i can not manipulate it electronically, otherwise, i would be able to maage it by myself.
