Have money value in A1, deposit paid in B1, balance remaining in C1,.
What I need is when I enter balance paid DATE in D1, C1 returns the word PAID.
Any help would be great guys.

try =IF(D1<>"","PAID",[formula you have to return the balance for C1])
so you'll need your C1 formula to determine the balance after the D1 formula. And this would be in C1.
