able to use bold text on some entries in dropdown list

I'm trying to find a way to change some numbers in my dropdown lists.
The lists are dependent on the prefix in A3. In the sample pic it shows a list 84 to 96 which is a drop down list in C3.
The ones in bold are std sizes. So I'm trying to make these bold.

I know I could do conditional formatting on the cell for these numbers. However I want the bold to be noticeable in the list before selection.

Is there a way to change this?

Unfortunately, no. There is no way to format individual items in a Data Validation dropdown list prior to selection.

Thanks, from all my searching I was coming up with nothing.
I'll have to try a different approach.

I will just add that the same is true of comboboxes and listboxes. It might be possible to develop a custom control that does this but it would be a lot of work for just one use and also a bit over my head.
