Hiding formula but allowing users to continue using it (fill down etc.)

    Hi,

Is it possible to hide a formula but continue to use it by dragging on the Fill Down in the corner of a cell. I know how to hide the formula - I don't know if it is possible to continue to use formula that have been hidden.

A very basic example is to assume I have the table below with column headings ID and Calculation.
I have a formula in the Calculation column that adds 2 to the cell above but when I hide this formula and drag the green Fill Down it just copies the cell rather than continues to perform the formula calculation.

Is what I am trying to do possible?

    Thanks,
    Gary

    1. why do you need to hide formula? If you really need the formula, copy it down many cells, Then Hide your row AFTER. But they will still be able to figure out the formula in the visible cells!!! You may need to use an IF statement to show a Blank cell if there is no data (like =If(B2="","",$B2+2)
