    Elapsed times that cross midnight.

I want to be able to find the intervals between eruptions of Old Faithful Geyser. No big deal substract the previous eruption start time from the current eruption start time. The problem comes when the previous eruption was say at 2245 (military time) and the current eruption time is 0010 I get the ##### signs of death. I should get 85 minutes. The only formula I found didn't work correctly.

    I would appreciate any guidance.

    Fay

    Try this

With B1 is current time and A1 is previous time.
Please note that the formula result is TIME value. If you want to convert to minutes, please multiply the result by 1440.

    Re: Time issue

Thank you very much. This did exactly what I needed it to do. Did run into a problem with the *1440. But, solved it by having general cell formatting instead of the military time I had first entered. Again thank you.
