QR code to enter attendance to excel

Hello all,

I am trying to implement a way to enter attendance by scanning student's individual qr code and that if the student arrive later than 7:30am then he is late (L). I have been looking in all searches and most points to use google form --> google excel.
If there is anyone who have done this in their institution or workplace please do share input or ideas.
