Okay, I have a whooper of an issue.
So, in my department - we track when people turn in requested vacation days. The first 5 employees by seniority get those days approved. The rest (in order) are on "standby", either waiting to be approved if someone cancels, or never to be approved.
I have already set up the "vacation days turned in" tracker sheet. If you go into the file I have attached - I have actually put a cool function in (with the help of the amazing people on this forum) that turns the first 5 X's green (approved) and the 6th person yellow (next to be approved) and the rest down the list in red (not approved). Because it's real time, if you remove one of the X's, the colors change based on if the order has changed. This doesn't really have anything to do with what I want to accomplish on this thread, but I thought I would mention.
Now that I have the tracker sheet, I want to display the first five individuals names on that given date on the calendar tab.
For example on January 11 - if a green X is in their box - I would like the first five on the calendar tab for the 11th to say Terri, Anthony, Pamela, Fekadu, and Richard (of course going down the column from 1 to 5).
Another option: I wasn't sure if I could cross function the green X with this, so I went ahead and created columns down below on the tracker sheet that read off the names that have an X on that date (X = have turned in a vacation request). From there is it possible to then place just the first five names on the date in the calendar tab? I know excel doesn't do colors well, so I thought this may be easier to do it this way.
For test sake - I have just set up the data for Jan 11 to Jan 15
Any help would be amazing.
