Value of one cell conditional on value of another w/o data table

    Hello.

In my first sheet, I want to automatically populate the last column:

In another sheet, I have a model which requires the ticker as input, and outputs the Up- / downside.

    Annotation 2019-12-01 214329.png

I want to use this model to populate the last column for all tickers. How can I do this? The thing is the model on the "model sheet" is larger than the screenshot shows. The column Up- / downstate could be calculated by just writing the formula in the cell in the table. That would, however, make it very hard to follow along the calculations and manipulate / change the model.

Very thankful for help. See attached file.

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Thank you, I have attached the file.
Not saying that I could resolve the issue, however I can't find an .xlsx file attached (all I see are screen shots), which might help someone who does have an idea about how to accomplish what you want.

@ptsaw: Not saying I can resolve this either but there is no Excel file attached. At the top of your screen is a yellow banner that explains how to attach files to this forum, Alan's post #2 also mentions how to do this.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
