Auto populate calendar with Leap Year and Non-Leap year.

    Hi everyone.

I am looking for a solution for this problem.

I am creating a sheet with auto populate dates on different sheets by entering the initial date which the starting date is January 1, YEAR.

The tabs are named by numbers (1, 2,3 until 12). Number 1 obviously is January and then the next sheet is number 2 which is February and then all the rest of the sheets are auto populated until December.

Everything is ok except if the year falls on a Leap Year.

I have a cell open until the 29 for February, but if it's not Leap Year then the cell that suppose to be blank is populated by March 1.

Is there any simple formula that will help me to solve this problem? I just want February to be automatically populated from 1 - 28 days and have the last cell available free or blank if it's not leap year rather than having March 1 in it, and automatically populate it with 29 if it falls on a leap year.

Appreciate all your help and response.

    Regards

    Hi popipipo

Appreciate your response. But I'm not just looking for calendar. I only need to populate 1 column and continuesly populate the next sheets on 1 column too.

    Any other please? Thanks

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 pictures.

Please read the yellow banner at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet.

You must be doing something wrong. EVERYONE can attach a file (<1.0 Mb)

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So,... instead click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while composing your reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

With 1/1/2019 (or whatever...) in A2, in A3, copied down to A367:

    =IF(YEAR(A2+1)>YEAR($A$2),"",A2+1)

If that is not what you want, try again to attach a file.

    Formula: copy to clipboard

the trick is that each leap year can divided by 4 without a remaining fraction.. so that is what the mod function is for to test is the remainder is 0 or not.
